Note: I know that some of you read these articles to your children. While I truly appreciate and commend these efforts, I wouldn't recommend that you read this one to young children. But, might I suggest that you have your older children read it? In these modern times in which we live I think this Bible lesson is considered outdated by everyone other than godly parents, chaste children, and the Lord. It's time, I believe, to take a stand!

"It is God's will that you should be holy; that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him.

The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you His Holy Spirit."

I Thessalonians 4:3-8, NIV

Do you accept this teaching or reject it?

Do you let your children be "sex educated" at school with no input from you, or do you inject God's commands into this "education"?

Do you let your daughters go half-dressed to the school proms and let your sons take them, or do you insist on purity?

Do you teach your children to be careful... or to be pure?

Do you think that God approves of your conduct and your example, or do you think that you will have something to answer for?

Are we raising chaste sons and daughters, or animals in heat?

If these questions offend you, do you think it's because God's teaching on sexual immorality is wrong... or because your attitude towards His requirement for purity is wrong?

It's something to think about - isn't it?

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

I Corinthians 6:9-10, NIV

Today is the 65th day of the 90 Day Bible Study, with I Thessalonians 3-5 being the chapters for today's study. May God richly bless you as you seek to find His way!
