Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

Acts 4:18, NIV

What would you do if the authorities forbade you to speak in the name of Jesus? This is a legitimate question, because we have a government that is becoming more bold in restricting Christians from practicing Christianity.

You don't believe that? Consider this:

Could you as a teacher talk about Jesus in the classroom? "No", the dutiful citizen would reply, "We have no right to evangelize in the classroom."

And they would think that they were being reasonable. Did you know that until 1962, a teacher could talk about Jesus in the classroom? That you could use the Bible in the classroom? That you could pray in Christ's name in the classroom? That all judges and politicians considered doing just that a Constitutional right?

Then a group of unconstitutional and anti-Christian judges decided for the whole nation that they would break both God's laws and the Constitution and say that it was "unconstitutional" to talk about God in the classroom. And, to our shame, we accepted it.

In my opinion, that opened the door to Satan's reign in America. Now, judges say that you cannot pray before school ballgames. No big deal, some will say. Now, judges say that if a homosexual couple wants a Christian to bake them a wedding cake, that the Christian has to bake the cake. One person's rights cannot infringe upon another person's rights, say these midgets of judicial reasoning, not at all realizing that they are saying that the rights of perversion trump the religious rights guaranteed in the Constitution.

No big deal, some will say. Now judges have required all American taxpayers to pay for the abortions of all non-taxpaying Americans. No big deal, some will say.

For those who think it's no big deal, let me ask you this? Where will you draw the line? If the Bible and the Constitution can be trampled simply because sinful men are in power then anything is possible.

We must never underestimate the capacity of evil men to be evil.

So what should we do? What did the apostles do when they were commanded to disobey God and speak no more in the name of Jesus?

But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God."

Acts 4:19, NIV
