Day 30: Will We Seek God or Go Our Own Way?

"Listen to me... The LORD is with you, when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you."

God's message to His people as recorded in II Chronicles 15:2, NIV

You have now completed something that very few people will ever do: You have read through the books of God's kings and mighty men. By reading through the history of the Judges and the Kings in such a short period of time, you now have an understanding of one of the most important principles that God's people can ever learn: If you seek God, you will find Him. If you leave God, He will leave you.

When we understand this principle and apply it to our lives, it changes who we are. Once we realize that God is on our side when we come to Him in His way, it gives us an insight into all of the great blessings that God bestows on His beloved children.

The question is, will we truly seek Him? If so, the joy of life and the delight of being a servant of God and Christ will affect everything that we do. In short, life will be good and we will have that hope of Heaven that He wants for all of His children. But, should we choose to reject Him, then these blessings are not for us. The champions and the kings learned this - often the hard way!

Now that you know this lesson, let me ask you this: Will you now apply it to your life?

"Listen to me... The Lord is with you, when you are with Him..."

II Chronicles 15:2, NIV
