Day 10: Independence Day
"All the Israelites did just what the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron. And on that very day, the LORD brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions."

Do you see the similarities of what is perhaps the two greatest Independence Days in the long history of this world?
It is God!
When God is recognized and obeyed, there is freedom.
Without the recognition of God, there can be no obedience. And without obedience, there can be no freedom.
The Israelites forgot this and eventually went back into slavery. Americans are also forgetting this... do you think that the results can be any different?

Israel was a great nation but they followed wicked leaders, forgot God, became enslaved to evil practices, and eventually became enslaved to evil men all over again as a just punishment for their sins. We need to remember God before it's too late. Otherwise our Independence Day celebrations might just someday come to an end.
America was once a great nation. It is still filled with many people who have the potential to make the nation great again, but we have chosen wicked leaders and have become enslaved to wicked practices. We need to wake up before we become enslaved to evil men all over again. This pattern repeats throughout history because it is a principle, and principles cannot be broken.
The only way that America will regain her former glory is for America to return to her former Glory - God!
This is why we study!
"Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God - or rather are known by God - how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?"
